CDC CAPITAL's management team comes from the Private Equity division of CDC Gabon. It has built up and managed a portfolio totalling CFAF 36 billion and composed of 21 lines. An experienced, young and dynamic team, mastering new approaches to private equity.

Profile

CDC Capital is a management company that manages funds contributed by its sponsor, Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, and other institutional investors, and which are invested in high-potential SMEs.

His team comes from CDC's Private Equity division

In more than 5 years, the team has invested nearly 40 billion CFA francs (60 million euros) in more than 21 companies in several sectors of activity (Wood, IT, Banking, Real Estate, Transportation, Ingienering)

A subsidiary of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations du Gabon, CDC Capital is:
  • An equity investor in minority transactions
  • A trusted and reference partner for SMEs in Gabon and Central Africa, particularly family businesses
  • A provider of adapted, innovative and sustainable capital financing for companies in a growth phase.

CDC Capital as a General Partner is the decision-making entity of the Funds under management.

As such, CDC Capital provides technical management services to the Funds.

CDC Capital reviews all decisions to be made on behalf of the Fund, (to invest and disinvest), and is responsible for its administration.
Strategic

The sub-regional (including national) financial landscape is mainly dominated by commercial banks, which for various reasons (high risk aversion, under-capitalized SMEs, etc.) are reluctant to lend, or at least lend very little to SMEs and other VSEs under construction. This economic environment is particularly favourable to private equity, given the existence of a universe of dynamic, under-capitalized, undervalued SMEs with strong growth potential over the lifetime of the funds under management.
