The sub-regional (including national) financial landscape is mainly dominated by commercial banks, which for various reasons (high risk aversion, under-capitalized SMEs, etc.) are reluctant to lend, or at least lend very little to SMEs and other VSEs under construction. This economic environment is particularly favourable to private equity, given the existence of a universe of dynamic, under-capitalized, undervalued SMEs with strong growth potential over the lifetime of the funds under management.
CDC Capital is the trusted partner of SMEs seeking to develop their shareholding, particularly in phases of transfer or external growth financing.
CDC Capital invests in equity, in minority capital, and offers adapted and innovative solutions to ensure the development of each company.
In full compliance with the philosophy of Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations du Gabon, CDC Capital is pursuing a responsible investment strategy based on a desire to actively and sustainably support companies, to be close to them and to share their strategic vision with management.
CDC Capital takes good governance issues into account in its investment and support policy for portfolio companies.
