In the dynamic of efforts to pass its accreditation to the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the DCF takes part in the Global Programming Conference of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) which serves as a platform for a high-level dialogue on the Programming Plans of the countries and entities accredited with the GCF. This event brings together all the designated national authorities and focal points, accredited entities and other stakeholders of the GCF from 19 to 23 August 2019 in Songdo, Korea.
The DCF staff is headed by Mr. Herman Nzoundou Bignoumba, Chief Executive Officer ( CEO ) , accompanied by the main managers of the Development and Energy Department (DCF), which is responsible for the project.
As part of this mission, the DCF is part of a national delegation headed by Lee White, Minister of Forests, the Sea, the Environment in charge of the climate plan, and the National Climate Council.
During this session, which focuses on the reconstitution of GCF funds for its next programming, the CDC exchanges with GCF leaders and experts.
The CEO was able to exchange with Mr. Yannick GLEMAREC, Executive Director of the GCF, on ways to accelerate the handling of the DCF file by the Board of Directors of the Fund, at the end of ongoing technical exchanges between operational teams of both institutions. As a reminder, the DCF has recruited since May 2019, a Consortium consisting of EY and IBIS Consulting to accompany it in the upgrade against GCF standards. "
